Core Hours

Core Hour rules define time ranges that employees are expected to work. They include a start and end time, and are applied to specific days of the week. Unworked time during core hours is flagged as an exception.

Use the Core Hour Rules page (Administration > Application Setup > Pay Policies > Work Rule Building Blocks > Core Hours) and the following information to set up Core Hour rules.

  • Name
  • Description
  • Start — The time that the core hours begin.
  • End — The time that the core hours end.
  • Break is a violation — Select if employees are not allowed to punch for breaks during core hours.
  • Days of week — Select the days to which the core hours rule applies.
