Standard Profiles

HCM Profiles provide a way to centrally manage time and attendance field values that can be accessed by human capital management (HCM) applications as well as workforce management (WFM) applications. The streamlined user interface eliminates the need for cross-reference tables (CRTs).

The Standard Profiles landing page (Main Menu > Administration > Application Setup > HCM Profiles SetupStandard Profiles) lists seven standard profiles. These profiles can be assigned to companies, EINs, cost centers, HR jobs, and positions, which are automatically inherited by employees who are assigned to them. Refer to the HCM help form more information.

Note:

To access the HCM Profile Setup pages, your Function Access Profile must have the HCM Profile Setup function control point set to Allowed. To access this from the Main Menu, select AdministrationApplication SetupAccess Profiles > Function Access Profiles.

  1. Select a Function Access Profile and click Edit.
  2. Expand Manager - System Configuration, locate HCM Profile Setup, and select Allowed.
  3. Click Save & Return.

Although you cannot edit this page, you can use these standard profiles as the basis to configure different combinations of WFM employee attributes, which you can then apply within HCM. To do this, select one of the standard profiles and click tap Manage Profiles . Depending on the selected profile, one of the following pages opens:

  • Accruals Profiles — Defines WFM accruals attributes, including Accrual Profile, FTE percentage, and Cascade Profile.
  • Activities Profiles — Defines WFM Activities attributes, such as activity profiles, default activities, idle times, and so forth.
  • Attendance Profiles — Defines WFM attendance attributes, including Attendance administrator and Attendance Profile.
  • Employee Profile — Defines WFM employee-specific attributes such as authentication type, Function Access Profile, Display Profile, and so forth.
  • Leave Profiles — Defines WFM leave attributes, including Leave administrator name and Leave Profile.
  • License Profiles — Defines WFM licenses, including Timekeeping, Attendance and Leave, Scheduling, and Analytics as well as manager and employee licenses.
