Work Rules data access profiles

Work Rule data access profiles specify the work rules that users can access. Before you create the profile, configure work rules in Pay Policies Setup. See Work Rules for more information.

  1. From Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Data Access Profiles, select Work Rules.
  2. In the Work Rule Data Access Profiles workspace, click New or select a work rule data access profile and click Edit or Duplicate.
  3. If new, give the access profile a name and description.
  4. Select the work rules from the Available Work Rule box and move them to the Selected Work Rule box.
  5. Click Save & Return.

To assign the Work Rule Profile to people:

  1. From the Main Menu, select Maintenance > People Information.
  2. Select the appropriate person from the list
  3. To assign work rule access to the person as an employee, go to Timekeeper > Employee Role and select the appropriate Work Rule Profile from the Work Rule Profile field.
  4. If the person is also a manager, you need to define the manager's work rule access to his or her employees.
    1. Go to Timekeeper > Manager Role-General.
    2. In the Work Rule Profile field, select the Work Rule Profile that includes the employees work rules that the manager can access.
  5. When finished, click Save
