Manager - Department Manager ACPs
The following access control points control how department managers access functionality in the suite.
This is the parent ACP for Dataviews, and functions related to Dataviews, such as group edits. If you select All, managers can access all Dataviews and perform functions, such as group approval of timecards or historical edits in Dataviews. You can select Allow or Disallow for each function, limiting managers’ Dataview functions.
- Apply group edit to self — If Allowed, group edits in Dataviews can be applied to the timecard of the manager who makes the edit.
- Accruals payout — If Allowed, managers can use the accruals payout function and pay unused accrued time to employees.
- Accruals reset — If Allowed, managers can reset accruals amounts and edit accrual balances.
- Accruals suspensions & reinstatements — If Allowed, managers can Suspend accruals to stop an employee from accruing additional time in the selected accrual code or Reinstate accruals to enable employees to start accruing for the selected accrual code from the effective date.
- Accruals update earned — If Allowed, managers can update earned accruals amounts, which allows them to edit the amounts of time or money that a person or group of people have earned.
- Allow negatives in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers, can use negative amounts when editing groups of timecards.
- Note: Day-based paycodes are excluded from this setting. When this setting is Disallowed, managers can still use negative amounts for day-based paycodes when editing groups of timecards.
- Group approval of timecards — If Allowed managers can access approval of groups of timecards. You can allow one or more, or all approval functions.
- Add — If Allowed, managers can approve groups of timecards.
- Remove — If Allowed, managers can remove their approval from groups of timecards.
- Remove All — If Allowed, managers can remove all timecard approvals for groups of employees, excluding any employee self-approvals.
- Edit data after non account approval by self — If Allowed, managers can edit timecard information that they have already approved for groups of timecards.
- Edit data after non account approval by others — If Allowed, managers can edit timecard information that has already been approved by other managers for groups of timecards.
- Approve overtime — If Allowed, managers can approve overtime for a group of timecards.
- Approve All Pending Timecard Change Requests — If Allowed, managers can approve all pending timecard change requests.
- Comments in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can use comments in group edits.
- Notes for comments in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can add notes to comments in group edits.
- Hours Worked amount in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can use Hours Worked in group edits.
- Filter by Selected Job Seniority — If Allowed, managers can filter jobs by seniority date.
- Pay code edits in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can make group edits to pay codes.
- Payroll lock in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can set a payroll lock on the pay period in view.
- Mark Exceptions as Reviewed — If Allowed (and the Exception Category has been configured with the Mark as Reviewed call to action), managers can select the Mark as Reviewed button on the Manage Timecards tile (also known as the Exception tile).
- Pay from Schedule in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can perform Pay from Schedule functions.
- With Pay from Schedule, an employee’s scheduled hours are automatically charged to their home account unless indicated otherwise by a paycode or transfer.
- Start Pay from Schedule — If Allowed, managers can start Pay from Schedule.
- Stop Pay from Schedule — If Allowed, managers can stop Pay from Schedule.
- Punch edits in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can edit a group of employee punches.
- Sign-off in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can perform sign-off functions for a group of employee timecards.
- Add — If Allowed, managers can sign-off a group of timecards.
- Remove — If Allowed, managers can remove their sign-off from a group of timecards.
- Note:
Consider limiting the people who have access to the Remove Signoff ACP to payroll personnel. The timing of your payroll submission is not configured by default. It is unique to your environment. Even though there is usually an amount of time between pay period signoff and when payroll is generated, managers and employees should avoid removing signoff after a pay period is signed off, even if they think it is before payroll is run. Instead of removing signoff and making last-minute edits, managers and employees should contact their payroll department and let the payroll administrator make the adjustment.
- Transfers in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can transfer labor accounts, work rules, or both on a group of timecards.
- Perform labor category transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer labor categories on a group of timecards.
- Perform cost center transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer cost centers on a group of timecards.
- Perform work rule transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer work rules on a group of timecards.
- Perform job transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer jobs on a group of timecards.
- Edits using scheduled amounts in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can request that edit amounts be calculated from a schedule.
- If Allowed, managers can select full sched day or half sched day instead of entering a specific number of hours. The system automatically calculates hours based on the start and end times of any shift, and also takes into consideration any automatic meal deducts and any scheduled work rule transfers.
- Edit non-active days in Dataviews — If Allowed, managers can edit days in Dataviews on which an employee is inactive or terminated.
- Override punch restrictions — If Allowed, managers can override punch restrictions for one or more employees.
- Edits using contract amounts — If Allowed, managers can use contract amounts when performing group edits.
- Override of accruals days — If allowed, managers can override the engine calculation of the accrual debit amount for a Paycode Edit.
- Start Time on paycode edits — If Allowed, managers can change start times when performing paycode edits for one or more employees.
- Schedule access — Settings that control access to the Schedule Planner.
To display schedules, the manager also needs the appropriate Display Profile. There are separate controls for edit and view access:
- Edit — Controls whose schedules managers are allowed to edit for schedules created in the Schedule Planner:
- All — Managers can perform edits for all employees and themselves.
- All but Self — Managers can perform edits for all employees, but not themselves.
- None — Managers cannot perform edits.
- Note: Managers can enter time off for employees when Edit is set to None. See Configure Time Off-Only Managers for more information.
- Edit — Controls whose schedules managers are allowed to edit for schedules created in the Schedule Planner:
- View — Controls whether managers can view the Schedule Planner:
- Allowed — Managers can view the Schedule Planner.
- Disallowed — Managers cannot view the Schedule Planner.
This is the parent ACP for scheduling functions. You can allow one or more functions. Manager access to Scheduling tabs is controlled by Display Profiles.
- Employment Terms View of Schedule— Managers can edit or view the employment terms view of the schedule.
- Employee View of Schedule — Managers can edit or view the employee view of the schedule.
- Group View of Schedule — Managers can edit or view the group view of the schedule.
- Hours/Volume Tab — Managers can view the Hours/Volume tab.
- View Budget Row — Managers can view the Budget row within the HPPD tab.

- Budget Pattern — If Allowed, managers can access the Pattern view of Budget Workload plans. Select from the following:
- Add — If Allowed, managers can add the Pattern view of Budget Workload plans.
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can edit the Pattern view of Budget Workload plans.
- Delete — If Allowed, managers can delete the Pattern view of Budget Workload plans.
- View — If Allowed, managers can view the Pattern view of Budget Workload plans.
- Budget Calendar — If Allowed, managers can access the Calendar view of Budget Workload plans. Select from the following:
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can edit the Calendar view of Budget Workload plans.

- Plan Pattern — If Allowed, managers can access the Pattern view of Planned Workload plans. Select from the following:

- Actual Calendar — Controls access to Actual Calendar of Workload Plan. Select from the following:

- Generate Workload— If Allowed, managers can generate required headcounts based on the staffing matrix.
- Lock Volume — If Allowed, managers can lock or unlock volume
- Create Work Week — If Allowed, managers can create Work Week definitions.
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can edit Work Week definitions.
- View — If Allowed, managers can view Work Week definitions.
- Assign Work Week — If Allowed, managers can assign Work Week definitions.
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can edit Work Week definition assignments.
- View — If Allowed, managers can view Work Week definition assignments.
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can edit Shift Profile Sets.
- View — If Allowed, managers can view Shift Profile Sets.

- Request Submission Control — If Allowed, managers can specify start and end times for the employee visibility period's submission period.
- Request Period Extended Access — If Allowed, managers can specify start and end times for the employee visibility period's request period.
- Recurrent/Rolling Periods — If Allowed, managers can specify whether the employee visibility period is recurring, rolling, or both.
- Multi-Group options — If Allowed, managers can specify whether to use single group or multi group settings for the employee visibility period.
- Employee Priority option — If Allowed, managers can specify that the employee visibility period opens and closes submission periods based on rank or seniority.
- Personal Hyperfinds for Employee Query — If Allowed, managers can specify the Hyperfind query used to identify employees who can submit requests.
- Visibility Period Actions — If Allowed, managers can assign a visibility period action to the employee visibility period.
- All — Managers can access their employees' preferences.
- All But Self — Managers can access their employees' preferences but not their own.
- None — Managers cannot access their employees' preferences.
If Allowed, the manager can access Group Edit Results.
If Allowed, managers can access Calendar Views.
If Allowed, managers can edit employee timecards. Select from the following:
- Timecard access — If Allowed, managers can access timecards. Select from the following:
- All — Managers can access all timecards in their access settings.
- All But Self — Managers can access all timecards in their access settings except their own.
- None —Managers cannot access timecards.
- Allow negatives in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can use negative amounts in the timecard.
- Note: Day-based paycodes are excluded from this setting. When this setting is Disallowed, managers can still use negative amounts in the timecard for day-based paycodes.
- Approval in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can access approval in the timecard. Select from the following:

- Approve Overtime in Project Timecard — If Allowed, managers can approve overtime in project timecards.
- Cancel meal deductions in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can cancel meal deductions in the timecard.
- Comments in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can add and/or delete comments in the timecard. Select from the following:
- Notes for Comments in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can use notes with comments in the Timecard Editor.
- Add or Remove — If Allowed, managers can add or remove notes with comments in the Timecard Editor
- Remove Notes added by Others — If Allowed, managers can remove notes added by others in the Timecard Editor.
- Hours Worked amount in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can use the Hours Worked amount in the Timecard Editor.
- Pay codes in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can access to pay codes in the timecard. Select from the following:
- Edit — If Allowed, managers can make paycode edits in the timecard.
- View — If Allowed, managers can view paycode amounts in the timecard.
- Move Amount — If allowed, managers can move amounts of time in paycode moves and delete pay codes moves in current or future pay periods.
- Override of accruals days — If Allowed, managers can override the accrual debit amounts calculated by the system following a paycode edit.
- Start Time on paycode edits — If Allowed, managers can enter a start time for paycode edits in the timecard.
- Resolve Exceptions in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can resolve exceptions in the timecard.
- Mark Exceptions Reviewed in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can mark exceptions as reviewed in the timecard.
- Punch edits in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can ability to edit punches in the timecard.
- Sign-off in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can ability to sign-off employee timecards in the timecard. Select from the following:
- Add — If Allowed, managers can sign-off a timecard.
- Remove — If Allowed, managers can remove their sign-off from a timecard.

- Calculate totals in Timecard Editor — Controls whether managers have access to the Callable Totalizer. If Allowed, managers can view up-to-date totals in employee timecards by selecting Calculate Totals
- Totals breakdown in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can access totals breakdown information in the timecard.
- Calculate totals on-the-fly in Timecard Editor — Controls the automatic use of the Callable Totalizer in the employee timecards. If Allowed, managers can view up-to-date totals immediately after editing an employee timecard and moving to the next row of a timecard.
- Transfers in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can access transfers in employee timecards. You can allow managers to view transfers and perform cost center, labor category, work rule, and job transfers.
- View transfers — If Allowed, managers can view cost centers, labor categories, work rules, and job transfers in the timecard.
- Perform cost center transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer cost centers in the timecard.
- Perform labor category transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer labor categories in employee timecard.
- Perform work rule transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer work rules in employee timecard.
- Perform job transfers — If Allowed, managers can transfer jobs in the timecard.
- View Schedules in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can view employee schedules at the bottom of employee timecards.
- Edit non-active days in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can edit days on which the employee is inactive or terminated.
- Accruals in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can access accruals in employee timecards. You can allow managers to move, reset, payout, and view accruals and totals.
- Move Accruals in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can move accrual amounts within employee timecards.
- Reset Accruals in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can reset accrual balances in employee timecards.
- Timecard Accrual Pay Out — If Allowed, managers can perform accrual payouts from employee timecards.
- Edits using scheduled amounts in the Timecard Editor — If Allowed:
- Managers can request that the edit amounts be calculated from a schedule.
- Managers can select full sched day or half sched day instead of entering a specific number of hours in employee timecards.
- The system automatically calculates hours based on the start and end time of any shift, and also takes into consideration any automatic meal deducts and any scheduled work rule transfers.
- Reports in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can generate specific reports from the timecard.
- Rule Analysis Tool Report in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can generate a Rule Analysis Tool report in the timecard.
- Analyze Accruals Tool Report in Timecard editor — If Allowed, managers can view accrual code transaction details for the selected time period.
- View the Audit Trail Tab in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can view audits in employee timecards.
- Edits using contract amounts in the Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can select symbolic amounts for paycode edits of Full or Half Contract days. The actual amount is derived from the employee contract group schedules for the day on which this function is used.
- Enable Job Transfer Validation
- Display Projected Punches — If Allowed, managers can view projected punches (scheduled punches for pay-from-schedule employees), and exceptions on those projected punches, in the timecard. In addition, exception counts on the Exception Tile include exceptions on projected punches.
- If Disallowed, managers cannot view projected punches, or exceptions on those projected punches, in the timecard. In addition, exception counts on the Exception Tile do not include exceptions on projected punches.
- Restrict edit on days with pending timecard changes — If allowed, restricts managers from making edits to days in an employee's timecard that have pending changes.
- Edit Schedules in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, managers can edit employee schedules in the timecard.
- Bypass permissions for approving pending timecard changes — Allows managers to approve employee-submitted pending timecard edits without having the ability to edit the employee’s timecard.
- Disable ability to perform assignment selection — If Allowed, managers cannot select different assignments in the timecard.
If Allowed, managers can control reporting functionality. Select from the following:
- Run reports — If Allowed, managers can run reports.
- Report scheduling — If Allowed, managers can schedule reports.
- Report setup — If Allowed, managers can configure and manage reports.
- Report Setup Access — If Allowed, managers access the Report Setup workspace, which is used for configuring reports.

If Allowed, managers receive e-mail notification in any of the following circumstances:
- E-mail a completed group edit — Managers receive an e-mail message when a group edit process completes.
- E-mail when a group edit was not completed — Managers receive an e-mail message when a group edit process does not complete.
- E-mail when event status has changed — Managers receive an e-mail message with the status of their events.
If Allowed, managers can view the Actions list on the General tab bar or in self-service.
This is the parent ACP for the Forecast Planner and the Operational Dashboard. If Allowed, the manager has access to the functions as follows:
Run Volume Forecast — If Access is Allowed, the manager can run a volume forecast.
Run Labor Forecast — If Access is Allowed, the manager can run a labor forecast.
Run Earned Hours — If Access is Allowed, the manager can run the earned hours process.
Run Labor Constraint — If Access is Allowed, the manager can run the labor constraint process.
Export Forecast Planner Data — If Access is Allowed, the manager can export data from the Forecast Planner.
Forecast Planner — This is the parent ACP for the Forecast Planner If Access is Allowed, the manager has access to the functions as follows:
- Volume Forecast — If Edit is Allowed, managers can add, edit, delete, or view the items in the Volume Forecast. If View is Allowed, managers can view the items.
- Restore Volume — If Access is Allowed, the manager can execute the restore command for a volume forecast.
- Labor Forecast — If Edit is Allowed, managers can add, edit, delete, or view the items in the Labor Forecast. If View is Allowed, managers can only view the items.
- Volume Forecast Details — Controls the user's ability to drill down from the Forecast Planner to the interval volume forecast if it has been generated.
Volume Analyzer — Controls the user's ability to analyze historical volume.
Machine Learning Model Explorer — Controls the user's ability to explore the Machine Learning Model.
Machine Learning Daily Explorer — Controls the user's ability to explore the Daily Machine Learning Model.
Labor Forecast Analyzer — Controls the user's ability to generate and view labor standard detail.
Operational Dashboard — This is the parent ACP for the Operational Dashboard. If Access is Allowed, the manager can access the following functions:
- Operational Dashboard Access — If Access is Allowed, managers can access the items in the Operational Dashboard.
- Operational Dashboard Hours Types — If Access is Allowed, managers can view items of the following types in the Operational Dashboard:
- View Budget Hours and Costs
- View Forecasted Hours
- View Earned Hours
- View Scheduled Hours and Costs
- View Actual Hours and Costs
- View System Adjusted Hours
Currency Option — Allow users to view the Currency Option in the Operational Dashboard and Forecast Planner.
Custom Driver Data — If Edit is Allowed, managers can add, edit, delete, or view custom driver data. If View is Allowed, managers can view custom driver data.
Adjustment Driver Data — If Edit is Allowed, managers can add, edit, delete, or view custom driver data. If View is Allowed, managers can view custom driver data.
Volume Budget — Controls the ability to view and edit volume budget data with the REST API.
Labor Budget — Controls the ability to view and edit labor budget data. If Edit is set to Allowed, this permission overrides the View setting and users can both view and edit the Labor Budget. If both Edit and View are set to Disallowed, the system does not display the Labor Budget Cost and Labor Budget Hours options to users.
Actual Volume (POS) — Controls the ability to view and edit actual volume data by way of the REST API.
Traffic Pattern — Controls whether users can view and edit Traffic Pattern data in the Forecast Planner and the REST API.
Peak Hours — Controls access to the public business apply_read Peak Hours REST API.
This is the parent ACP for Attendance Editor functions. You can allow managers to perform all, or one or more Attendance Editor functions.
- View Audit Data — If Allowed, managers can view a chronological list of audit information that the attendance processor has written.
- Perfect attendance definitions — If Allowed, managers can view information about the perfect attendance policy selected on the Summary tab, including the event, pattern, or combined event that disqualifies an employee from having perfect attendance and the number of incidents of the event, pattern, or combined event that caused this disqualification.
- Source policy — If Allowed, managers can view the Source policy information for a selected employee in the Attendance Editor.
- Attendance Actions — If Allowed, managers can take attendance actions on the Attendance, Attendance Details and Calendar pages.
- Apply Rules — If Allowed, managers can apply attendance rules.
- Attendance Balance Resets and Adjustments — If Allowed, managers can reset and adjust attendance balances.
- Attendance Events — If Allowed, managers can create attendance events.
- Refine Filters — If Allowed, managers can filter the attendance data using the refine filters and can create their own custom filters.
- Global Filters — If Allowed, managers can filter the attendance data using the global filters.
- Custom Filters — If Allowed, managers can create custom filters.
- Attendance History and Timecard Markers — If Allowed, managers can view attendance history and timecard markers.
- Access to Attendance Detail Page and Calendar — If Allowed, managers can access the Attendance Details and Calendar pages.
- Forward Attendance Documents — If Allowed, managers can forward attendance documents to other people.
- View Attendance Documents — If Allowed, managers can view attendance documents.
If Allowed, managers can access location data in punches.
- View location data — If Allowed, managers can view location data in punches.
- Access to Leave Landing Page — Controls the manager’s access to the Leave of Absence landing page.
- Access to Leave Case Editor, Leave Calendar and Takings List — Controls the manager’s access to the Leave of Absence Case Editor, Calendar and Takings list .
- Access to Leave Audit — Controls the manager’s access to the Leave of Absence Audits page.
- Manage Leave Case — Controls the manager's ability to add, edit and delete Leave of Absence cases.
- Add Leave Cases — Controls the manager’s ability to add new leave cases.
- Delete Leave Cases — Controls the manager’s ability to delete leave cases.
- Leave Case Details — Controls the manager’s ability to view and edit the Case Details and Case Defaults in the Leave Case Editor.
Case Details — Controls the manager’s ability to view and edit the Case Details in the Leave Case Editor.
Case Defaults — Controls the manager’s ability to view and edit the Case Defaults in the Leave Case Editor.
- Leave Case Eligibility and Rules — Controls the manager's ability to edit eligibility, grant leave, assign rules, and create custom rules in the Leave case editor.
Edit Eligibility — Controls the manager’s ability to edit an employee’s leave eligibility in the Leave Case Editor.
Grant Leave — Controls the manager’s ability to grant on-demand leave in the Leave Case Editor.
Rule Assignment — Controls the manager’s ability to assign leave rules to a leave case in the Leave Case Editor.
- Edit Leave Case Frequency and Duration — Controls the manager’s ability to edit the Frequency & Duration section in the Leave Case Editor.
- Leave Case Documents — Controls the manager's ability to forward, manage and view Leave documents in the Leave Case Editor.
Forward documents— Controls the manager’s ability to forward leave documents to other people in the Leave Case Editor.

Allows managers to transition accrual balances. Select All, All But Self, or None.
Serves all areas in the application. It is the parent of the ACPs in the list that follows. All are Disallowed by default. You can select Allowed for Edits to signed-off time, then set one or more of the child ACPs to Disallowed.
- Edit signed off time — If Allowed, managers can edit employee timecards in a signed-off period. If Disallowed, the timecards are uneditable. Calculate Employee Totals appears in the Track Time menu in Dataviews.
- Allow override of Include in Totals — If Allowed, the Include in Totals check box appears in the Calculate Employee Totals slider of a Dataview or in the Historical Corrections add-on in the timecard. If Disallowed, the check box does not appear and the system setting, site.timekeeping.historicalCorrectionsIncludeInTotals, governs whether corrections are included in Totals for the specified apply date.
- Allow enable edits for employees — If Allowed, managers can enable edits following payroll processing. The Enable Edits option appears on the timecard.
- Allow override of correction wage pay code — If Allowed, managers can override the wide wage paycode used for historical corrections.
- Allow override of correction effective date — If Allowed, managers can override the effective date of a historical correction.
Controls the user's ability to make dataview personalizations.
Controls the manager's access to Overtime Group Approvals.

- Overtime Group Approvals Reset All — Controls the manager's access to the Reset All action on the Overtime Group Approvals Landing Page.
If allowed, managers can upload profile pictures for other employees; if Disallowed, then managers cannot upload profile pictures for other employees.
If allowed, managers can send notices to employees from within the system to communicate information.
- Send to selected employees — Managers can send notices to a group of selected employees.
- Send to all — Managers can send notices to all employees in the company.

- Document Manager — Enables access to Document Manager (Employee Documents tile). Enable one of the following function access control points to make the tile visible in the user interface.
- Preview Documents — Enables access to preview documents from the Employee Documents tile.
- Download Documents — Enables access to download documents from the Employee Documents tile.
- Upload Documents — Enables access to upload documents on behalf of an employee to the Document Manager Portal.
- Update Documents — Enables access to open the Document Manager Portal and update documents.
- Create Document Request — Enables access for the manager to create document requests.
- Access HRSD Manager Document Portal — Enables access for the manager to access the HRSD Document Manager User Portal.
- Enable/Disable Sign-Off Preparation — If allowed, managers can enable or disable Sign-Off Preparation from a Dataview.
- Edit during Sign-Off Preparation — If allowed, managers can edit the timecard when Sign-Off Preparation is enabled.
